Resident Return Visas

A Resident Return Visa allows Australian permanent residents to travel to and from Australia as often as they wish within the validity of the visa, while maintaining their status as permanent residents.

A Resident Return Visa (RRV) is valid for 3 months or 5 years (depending on circumstances).

Please send your documents by registered mail to the Embassy. Alternatively, if you would like to lodge your application in person, you are required to make an appointment. To make an appointment, please contact the Embassy on +385 1 4891 209 between 9 and 11am from Monday - Friday, or e-mail us at Enquiries-Zagreb@dfat.gov.au.

Please note that we may not be able to make a decision on your application on the same day.

The average processing time for a Resident Return visa is 1 week provided all relevant documentation has been lodged. However, in order to ensure that you meet your travel commitments, please lodge your application for a Resident Return visa at least 2 months prior to expected date of travel.
Department of Immigration and Citizenship does not recommend purchase of the airline tickets until your visa application has been decided.
