Long Stay Temporary Business Visa (up to 4 years)

 
The Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclass 457) is the most commonly used program for employers to sponsor overseas workers to work in Australia on a temporary basis.

Key points to note:
- the sponsoring employer can be either an Australian or overseas business.
- the position to be filled by the overseas employee must meet minimum skill and salary levels
- holders of a subclass 457 visa can work for the sponsor in Australia for a period of up to four (4) years

From 01 July 2007 all applicants for Long Stay Business visa must have sufficient level of English language skills.
