Registration of Australian Citizenship by Descent
A child born overseas can be registered as an Australian citizen by descent if at least one of the natural parents was an Australian citizen at the time of the child's birth.
Important notice: As of 1 July 2009, all applications for Australian citizenship by descent need to be lodged at the Australian High Commission in London. Please foward all relevant forms and original documents by registered mail to the following address:
